On January 2, 2001, Sachs North America Racing Division was established in Westlake, Ohio, stocking a full inventory of Sachs Performance© and Sachs Racing© lines for the first time outside of Europe. The latest technology to invade US racing and performance market includes the revolutionary RCS© modular racing clutch system and state of the art SP and SPS racing dampers as well as highly sought after performance tuning dampers and clutches. All designed and built by Sachs Race Engineering GmbH, of Germany. These and other high tech products are offered for applications ranging from club racing to all levels of professional racing.
Sachs North America is responsible for the sales, marketing, and distribution of Sachs, Borg & Beck, Boge, Stabilus, and Mintex branded automotive products to the automotive aftermarket in the United States and Canada.
Sachs Race Engineering GmbH develops, constructs, produces and sells shock absorbers and clutches for use in racing vehicles and performance enhanced series vehicles. As a subsidiary of the world‘s largest shock absorber and clutch manufacturer ZF Sachs AG, the company established itself as a legally independent business unit (GmbH) in 1998 and has been expanding continuously since then.
ZF Sachs AG organization consists of Sachs Chassis Systems and Sachs Powertrain. The organization has 39 plants in 19 countries.
