Formula 1: Ferrari dominates in France

The French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours ended in a commanding double victory clinched by Ferrari.

The Scuderia’s two drivers, Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa, who rely on dampers from ZF Sachs Race Engineering in their cars, fought a close battle for the lead throughout the race. The fight was only decided in favour of Räikkönen after the second pit stop. In places four and five, the BMW-Sauber drivers, Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld, scored valuable Championship points. Both cars are fitted with dampers from Schweinfurt as well. Honda also had a reason to celebrate. Jenson Button, who uses a high-tech clutch made by ZF Sachs, finished in eighth place to score the first Championship point for the team this year.
